About us – Freeform Games

Established in 2001 by seasoned game designers Steve and Mo, Freeform Games thrives on a mission to redefine the murder mystery gaming experience.

While there’s no shortage of such games in stores or online, we’ve identified a common shortfall in many – be it a lackluster plot, unsatisfying conclusions, two-dimensional characters, an absence of ambiance, or simply a narrative that doesn’t quite add up.

If you’ve ever felt let down by the murder mystery games you’ve encountered so far, or if you’re simply seeking the best of the genre, you’ve come to the right place.

“There was so much to do, we never had a flat moment. What was even nicer, some people had worked that day and were a tad tired – your games allow them to play as intensely or not intensely as they want… there’s no “have to” in your games.”

Lee Nelson, United States

At Freeform Games, you’ll discover a curated selection of meticulously crafted murder mystery games that promise to captivate and enthrall.

Our commitment doesn’t end there. We’re dedicated to continually expanding our catalog, ensuring a diverse array of settings, player counts, and themes to cater to every murder mystery party need.

So, whether you’re hosting an intimate gathering or a large-scale event, rest assured, your quest for the perfect murder mystery ends here.

“Thank you very much for your swift response. I am very grateful (not to mention impressed with your customer service)!”

Our games

We guarantee that you’ll find our murder mystery games to be:

  • challenging
  • intriguing
  • involving
  • clearly written

and most of all

  • FUN!

And to prove we mean what we say, if you’re genuinely not satisfied with any of our games, we’ll give you a no-quibble full refund.

“A word of thanks to our UK brethren from the USA: After purchasing Death on the Gambia, we had a hard drive crash and lost all of our files. In a panic, we e-mailed for help with restoring our purchased game. Within the hour, we had a response and our game is (somewhat) safely ensconced on our hard drive! Thank you so much. You have earned our repeat business with flying colors.”

Jeannie Reynard, Tulsa, Oklahoma

We work with a team of terrific murder mystery writers! They include Chris, Tracy, Lisa B, DeAnna, Mark, Jennifer, Tara, Anastasia, Lisa P, Becky, Terence, Jessica, Karolina and more.

“You are all fantastic mystery party designers!” Dan Traughber, USA

Sponsoring and charities

We are always happy to sponsor charitable and other worthwhile events by donating a game to use for free, or by donating games as prizes.

Let us know if you’d like us to sponsor an event you’re planning. Just let us know the details of your event, and we’ll see what we can do.

(And check out this page on our blog, which talks about using our games for charitable purposes.)
