Commercial licence

You will need a commercial licence if you plan to run one of our games commercially (ie for profit).

A commercial license allows you to charge guests to play our games (whether you charge them specifically for the game or whether the game is part of a larger event). If you aren't sure if your event qualifies or not, please contact us with the details.

We have two commercial licences, a 30-day licence and a 5-year licence.

You can see the full terms of the licence here (30-day licence and the 5-year licence), but in essence:

• The licence permits you to run our games commercially for the period stated, starting from when you purchased the commercial license.
• You may host as many events as you like during the period of the license.
• You must purchase each murder mystery title separately. (You don't have to purchase them at the same time as the licence.)
• When you advertise your event, you must identify Freeform Games as the owners of the game.

Note that commercial licenses are not covered by our 30-day money-back guarantee.

Note that you do NOT need a commercial licence if you are using your game as a charity fundraiser.
